If you are creative, reliable, scary, enthusiastic and fun, volunteer with us! We have many opportunities for mature and responsible individuals (15+) to join our Scream Team. A great way to be engaged with your community, while having fun!
Community Hours: High school students can obtain community service hours by volunteering with the Cannington Haunted Trail and Maze.
Zone Manager (18+): NEW!!
Responsible, engaging and quick-thinking adults needed to manage zones of the trail or the maze. This is a BIG DEAL! You are a team leader and will be responsible for ensuring that each scene in your zone is pulling off the best scares possible (i.e., scare actors are performing, props are working, patrons are moving). You will be able to troubleshoot any unexpected challenges. This role will be performed in costume/character. Yes, you are also part of the show!!
Scare Actors are the core of our attractions. Some roles require outgoing, lively characters with dialogue, while others are less animated. Auditions and training may be required.
Become part of our make-up team and turn our guys and gals into ghouls. Previous experience with creative make-up an asset.
Greet and direct guests as they arrive and answer any questions they may have. A calm demeanor and common sense are a must.
Organize guests into appropriate group sizes and redeem their tickets. You will need excellent people skills and the ability to address any disruptions within the queue line.
Photo Booth Attendant:
Organize guests into picture perfect form for our photo booth new this year. You will need to be outgoing, in character (we will provide you with costume and makeup) and have excellent people skills.
Safety of our volunteers and guests is a high priority. Responsible adults are needed to respond quickly in the event of misconduct or emergency.
Construction experience an absolute must. Construction of maze interior throughout the summer (various dates) and build-out of trail scenes and grounds October 22, 26 and 27. Tear down of trail scenes and grounds October 29.
This role requires physical stamina. Setup/teardown of scenes and basic running around getting last minute jobs done. Setup of scenes October 26 and 27 and teardown October 29.

NOTE: All volunteers (except construction and setup/teardown) must attend a MANDATORY ORIENTATION at the park on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at 11 am or Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at 5:30 pm. NO EXCEPTIONS.
